2022 Fall Service Newsletter


If you are on vacation, but still checking work email or calling in, you aren’t on vacation.  This year I took an extended vacation and for the first time, “unplugged”.  I asked myself, was I a workaholic struggling with work-life balance, which would only result in burn-out? (My family all voted yes)

I came back fully recharged! I was ready to perform tasks to the best of my ability, my creativity had increased, and I felt like an entirely different person.  I was able to define a purpose, which resonated with me as to how I wanted to spend my life.  I wanted to continue finding my purpose, truly live life in the moment because we only have a limited number of days on this earth. Just remember to enjoy all the little things in life, at one point you may look back and realize that they were the big things.

Resilience is about how you recharge, not how you endure. Yes, resilience requires hard work, but it requires recovery time to prevent lost productivity, re-build creativity and mental health. This balance is key to any work life relationship. Living in the moment is one of the best pieces of advice to take.  Many years from now, you may be more disappointed by the things you did Not do, than by the things you did.
