Carolina Skiff had its beginnings more than 30 years ago, building solid, working skiffs that were dependable, wear-resistant and rugged. Over the years, the company has added some polish and comfort to its designs, and the new 22 Ultra Elite offers a family fun pleasure boat that is built to last for years.
These 100 percent composite boats feature fully molded liner hull construction which forms a more rigid bond between deck and hull for a more solid ride. The self-bailing deck design quickly sheds water in case of a sudden wave or downpour from above, making the ride dry as well as solid.
Carolina Skiff throws in all the comforts that families enjoy: wear-resistant diamond-pleated upholstery on the fore and aft deck cushions, port and starboard coaming pads, non-skid deck surfaces and premium gelcoat finish everywhere.
The sunpatch on the bow is expansive with moveable backrests and lift-up cushions that unveil the insulated coolers beneath.
An open skiff can sometimes be very sunny: the optional Bimini or T-Top cover over the console can accept maritime shades fore and aft, to provide plenty of shade for your passengers. A comfort note: the front console flips up to reveal a changing area and a small port-a-potty.
The roomy console has space for a 12-inch monitor and with the optional stereo sound system, you get a USB plug. The optional hydraulic steering and stainless steel wheel tilt for ease and comfort while steering, and the flip-down footrest adds more comfort for the driver.
The aft-deck comes with three jump seats, all of which have backrests that fold down to create a roomy fishing deck. There’s a 20-gallon insulated baitwell with LED lights and the kids will love the swim platform with a three-step telescoping ladder.
All around the boat, one finds stainless drink holders and rod holders everywhere! This little boat is made to order for a fishing expedition into tight places with its 150-HP outboard, yet can be easily beached on a sandbar for a picnic lunch.
