NOT ALL IN THE SAME
(poem by Damian Barr-paraphrased)
Illustrator Barbara Kelley
WE ARE NOT ALL IN THE SAME BOAT.
We are in the same storm. Your ship can be shipwrecked and mine might not be. For some, quarantine is optimal, a moment of reflection or reconnection. For others, this is a desperate crisis. For some, peace, rest time, a vacation. Yet for others, torture: How am I going to pay my bills? Some were enjoying their home office while others were looking through trash to survive.
Some have experienced the near-death of the virus, some have already lost someone from it and some actually believe they are infallible. They will be blown away if or when this hits someone, they know. Some have faith in God and truly expect miracles in the upcoming year. Others say the worse is yet to come. So, friends, we are Not in the same boat. We are going through a time when our perceptions and needs are completely different. Each one of us will emerge in his/her own way from that storm.
That is why Atlantic Boats is preparing for the storms to come. We realize everyone’s situation and needs are different. The economy has changed and not for the better. We are building lots of inventory and staff. However, many our suppliers have thrown enormous price increases on us this season. Our new and long term employees require certified training along with several other increased expenses, forcing us to have to raise our pricing this year. Some parts will be difficult to get, but our Parts Department does their best to come up with alternate solutions. We pledge to keep the same service and quality you expect from Atlantic Boats.
Our winterization form, storage agreement, and pricing will be on our website: www.atlanticboats.com under the Service Tab. You can always email myself or Meghan at: firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com.
We are not all in the same boat. We are in the same storm. Let us remember to support each other and not judge. Do not judge the one who lacks as well as the one who exceeds him. We are all on different ships looking to survive. Let everyone navigate his or her route with respect, empathy and responsibility.
