292 Offshore- On Order

New this year, this deep-vee center console model is designed for those who like to venture offshore in search of bluewater gamefish.

Like other Sea Pro models, the 292 Offshore has a sharp bow entry, classic Carolina flare and a 22.5 degree transom deadrise that helps this boat cut through all the rough stuff one finds in the open sea and delivers a dry, solid ride in all conditions.

With a broad beam of 9’10” and a spacious cockpit design, the boat feels much bigger than its 28’6” LOA, but it’s still easy to trailer and operate. 

Standard features of interest to fishermen is the large side entry door, large port and starboard fish boxes with macerator pumps, two pressurized 25-gallon livewells, underwater lights, and outrigger-ready fiberglass hardtop with integrated windshield, two heavy-duty electric reel ports, lots of built-in tackle storage, a cleaning and bait station and all kinds of rod holders and storage.

The helm boasts a glass-bridge style electronic center capable of holding a pair of 16” SIMRAD MFDs (a single unit is standard, the second is optional). There are dedicated molded-in flats for the throttles and an optional joystick for pinpoint control.  Additional tech includes Zipwakes Interceptors, an onboard battery management system, and integration with the Sea Pro Connect app that will give you GPS tracking and the Boat Fix-plus anti-theft alarms.

The 292 gets its structural support from a one-piece molded stringer grid that is gel-coated and bonded to the hull with methyl methacrylate, the adhesive used by NASA to glue down exterior heat shield tiles. The hull is coated from the waterline down with a vinyl ester barrier coat to prevent blistering. All this is the reason Sea Pro offers a five-year limited warranty and a 10-year limited hull warranty.

Under the hood, the individual, one-piece finished and gel-coated stringer system is attached to the hull with the same super heavy duty methyl methacrylate for extraordinary strength and durability.
